There is a center front knee-length slit within the embroidery for easy and fluid movement Dress is unaltered and only tried on a couple of times. The zipper is smooth. This dress has a beautiful modern feminine quality that Tadashi Shoji is known for. It feels like a comfortable sophisticated dream when zippered up. It feels breathable and easy to move in. We had planned an outdoor wedding, that ended up getting delayed indefinitely. I have the dress in two sizes, 4 and 6. The dress is sadly no longer available on their website.
