The Dress

One-of-a-kind Leanne Marshall skirt and custom top. It brought me so much joy to wear and added a splash of color to our wedding day. I would love to have another bride enjoy it as much as I did!

LEANNE MARSHALL SKIRT- WAONA:
A prototype Leanne Marshall skirt sustainably handmade in New York and designed by the winner of Project Runway . As described by Leanne Marshall: “Silk organza skirt separate in our “Wyoming” watercolor print which has areas of asymmetrically placed watercolor pattern in shades of rust, coral, and blues. Fully lined skirt with waistband and zipper up back.”

Skirt Alterations:
Seamstress added rose gold/ rhinestone belt, hemmed the bottom and added a French bustle (I bustled after the ceremony so I could actually dance- and certainly danced!). Other than hemming the bottom, the waist and skirt were not altered. Skirt is size 10 (Waist [removed]. I usually wear a size 6 in street clothes. I am 5’5” and wore 3” block heels.

CUSTOM TOP:
I totally fell in love with the skirt, but didn’t have a top to match. So, I hired an expert seamstress to cover the ivory Catherine Deane Darla Bodice from BHLDN with extra sheer fabric from the skirt. It matches perfectly! I wore it with straps, but can also be worn strapless. BHLDN Style #58617820

Top Alternations:
Catherine Deane Darla Bodice from BHLDN is size 6 (Bust 36” Natural waist 29”// I am a 36B bra) no size alterations, only the bottom of the bodice was cropped minimally.

CONDITION:
Excellent condition. Worn only on my wedding day. The dress and top have been dry cleaned. Comes in a preservation box.
