The Dress

Designer's description: Ivory lace organza wave bridal gown. Strapless sweetheart neckline, corseted sheer alencon lace elongated bodice, ivory moire jeweled ribbon belt at natural waist, asymmetrical organza wave skirt, chapel train.

The dress typically comes unlined (as described above "sheer alencon lace"), however I paid to have it lined since it was somewhat see through originally. This makes the dress even more beautiful in my opinion.

I have a photo up showing that the train can be bustled for the reception.

It comes with an ivory jeweled belt that ties in the back. I did not wear this belt on the day of my wedding (in other words, it is not the belt that is pictured here), so it is brand new. It's a stunning accessory.

The dress was purchased in a label size 8, but that is because I am quite busty - they opened the cups up to a "D". So when the dress arrived, the tailor took the bodice in. To give you an idea, I am a size 2 in everyday clothing. As per my Kleinfeld's receipt, my measurements are as follows: Bust 34'', Waist 26 1/2'', Low Hip 37'', Heel 4-5''. I am 5'5'' and wore platform heels around 6''. The dress was not altered in length.

The dress has been completely redone by Kleinfeld's - immaculately cleaned, buttons re-secured (if needed), organza re-sewn from any tears. Kleinfeld's has preserved the gown in special preservation casing that can be used for storage after it is worn - this prevents any damage to the color of the dress or any dust accumulation over time. The cleaning/rework was $800, so the dress is practically brand new.

The gown was purchased last June/July at Kleinfeld's here in NYC. I wore it for my wedding this year (March 2015). It was cleaned and preserved immediately after.

I felt so gorgeous in this dress, and it breaks my heart to part with it. However, it is too beautiful to keep hidden away in my closet. I would rather pass it on to another bride in hopes that she will feel as beautiful and happy as I did!
