The Dress

New and never worn, gorgeous champagne taffeta ballgown wedding dress.

I ordered the dress to be made for me in late 2021 from Jurgita Bridal Studio, a bridal studio in Lithuania. I was looking for something a little different with a low back and was having difficulty finding it in bridal shops in London and online in the UK. I stumbled across Jurgita Bridal Studio's page on Etsy and found this dress! It was exactly what I wanted at the time and I placed the order immediately. Although I was nervous ordering a dress online, I researched the supplier and was very happy that she could be trusted. I sent across my measurements and received the dress a few months later.

The champagne taffeta material is lovely and the dress is very well made. It was slightly too big for me around the bust when it arrived, as I think I had lost a little weight for the wedding. However, I had it altered by a local seamstress and it fit perfectly. I am usually a size 8/10 in dresses.

In the end, I found another dress to wear for the wedding but not because I didn't really love this one. Originally I had always wanted a separate skirt and top but had never been able to find the right one. A few months before the wedding I coincidentally found the one, so I decided not to wear this dress but wore the separates instead. Therefore, the dress I am selling has not been worn and is in brand new condition.

The photos here are of me in the dress a few months after my wedding. Unfortunately (mainly due to consumption of left over wedding wine and Aperol!) I couldn't quite do the zip up at the back of the dress, so I have just included a picture of the back of the dress without me in it. It doesn't quite do it justice. The way it sits on the back and the "sleeves" fall is really beautiful.

Alterations

The bust was altered to make it slightly smaller for me, as explained.
