The Dress

Stunning Stella York 6758 dress.
I thought I’d have a sheath dress but I put on this A line dress and it gave my figure balance and gave me a bit of a waist.
Simple elegance.
It also allowed me to be able to have a stunning, colourful and very modern bouquet that wouldn’t have looked as striking against a lace or crystal dress.
Zip back with hook and eye at top.
Buttons full length down back.
Bustle on it.
Slight mesh in v front. Cups added in. Don’t need a bra or suck me in undies with this beauty.
Made out of off-white Mikado which is a thick type of silk that creates a perfect structured gown that will hold its shape. It had a lovely lustre which is why I ended up wearing large baroque pearls on the day as they matched perfectly.
Has pockets as well.
Dry cleaned for $240. It unfortunately started drizzling for the ceremony and train got dirty but dry cleaners removed it all.
Bought from Gladstone bridal boutique mid 2022.
I wore a velvet green/teal ribbon around my waist which is very lightly held on by one stitch at front that is very easy to remove. I also have a few crystal and Pearl bridal belts that I am very happy to send with the dress that didn’t work for the look that I was going for.

Alterations

I’m a true street size 16 Australian but they ordered an 18 and did slight alteration with straps as I’m a fraction shorter in the abdomen and a tiny bit for my waist. They also lifted the hem at front only (I am 165cm and had 6.5cm block heels on). They also added a bustle but didn’t have any close up photos of this. Alterations were an additional $350. These dresses can be further taken down 2 sizes I was told.
