The Dress
This was a wonderful dress to get married in! From Madeline Gardner’s range with Morilee, it’s a beautifully traditional shape, with the full skirt that is surprisingly comfortable as it’s not too heavy, and a mix of flower and geometric detail in the lacing of the skirt that adds a contemporary twist. It has a very flattering, feminine plunging neckline. The intricate beading adds a very subtle touch of sparkle. It is dry cleaned and in excellent condition. It is full-length and was not taken up at all, although the train was removed to make it easier to wear in a garden setting. Otherwise, it is still in off-the-rack condition so can be altered as much as needed!
I got so many compliments on the dress. It wasn’t the style I thought I would go for, but when I tried it on, it was perfect and remained comfortable until the party stopped at 5am!
Alterations
Dress has only been altered to remove the train, with no length taken off from the front. Straps repositioned slightly for better fit. Train was made into a shawl for the church which will be included.
