The Dress

Eva Lendel "Halia" dress in cappuccino

Made of a champagne, taffeta material with a sheen to it. The colour is quite unique and photographs beautifully.

Marked a size EU 38/M, however sizing runs small in my opinion, as I typically wear an Aus 8 (and was almost an Aus 6 at the time of wearing due to COVID lockdown stress!)
I am 163cm and wore 7cm heels on the day.

Features:
- Pockets!! Great for stashing tissues, snacks, lippy etc
- Long statement train
- Split skirt to show off your shoes (**please see alterations note)
- Grecian-inspired bodice with pleated and twist detail
- Wrap neckline/sleeves
- Boning in bodice for added support (the bodice ended up sitting on top of my hips and held the dress securely in place)
- Horsehair fabric on the underskirt to maintain structure and shape
- Zip closure

The dress has been freshly dry-cleaned and preserved by a bridal drycleaning service.

Alterations

The length has been taken up by a seamstress specialising in wedding dress alterations. She also secured the underskirt and lining to the outer skirt.

As the skirt split was too high for my liking (was scared off flashing), I had handsewed a dart in place and made the split thigh-high. This can be easily unpicked if preferred.
