The Dress

This was my second wedding so I went into the bridal store with a set budget in mind and an idea of what I wanted, that all went out the window as soon as I put this dress on. I knew it was the one for our destination wedding in Mexico. The dress features a sheer bodice and textured layers, oh and lots of sparkles! It’s color is ivory over blush, my wedding accents were rose gold so this seemed absolutely fitting. I’m typically between a size 6-8 but a little curvy in the hips, I tried on an 8 in the store and it fit like a glove but I couldn’t walk or sit down comfortably so I elected to size up to a 10. I had some minor alterations done - adding cups for a little lift in the breast area, a bustle was added and it was taken in at the hips slightly so I still had the hourglass look I was desiring. I paid $1,700 brand new for this dress. I don’t want to part with it, but I want someone to feel as beautiful as I did walking along the ocean to my forever in this dress!
