The Dress

I got married in the fall of 2017 at a winery in CA. This dress was perfect for the autumn, not too heavy to wear during the day (no sweating while taking first look pictures at 3pm outside in the sun) and insulating in the brisk evening. Our venue was indoor/outdoor and I was very comfortable inside in the heated room and outside where the low temperatures reached 50F at night. I loved the dress so much I wore it all night and opted out of a second dress for dancing.

The dress itself is ivory in color, a-line in shape, with a long sleeved lace top, tulle bottom, and full length beading on the back. I did not wear heels for comfort, just bought some white Toms. It was very easy to bustle in the back after the ceremony and draped very nicely all night long.

I meant to sell my wedding dress right after my nuptials but I stored it away and as the saying goes, out of sight, out of mind. I am finally getting around to it now since we are in the midst of "spring cleaning." I will say that my marriage has been amazing and if anyone believes in good juju, then perhaps this dress can carry some on to you. We are celebrating our 5 year anniversary in October and life couldn't be better.

Alterations

The dress was bought as a skirt and a bodice (both separate from each other but same designer). However, the skirt was too heavy and needed to be sewn into the bodice so that the skirt would not droop down, so it is now a dress.
