The Dress

Custom designed and made Amy New dress. Made in 2021 worn in January 2022.

Details:
-off shoulder gown, designed to be worn on the edge of the shoulder to come down in a v
-boned bodice with inbuilt cups (can be removed-see pic)
-slight v neckline front and back
-long sleeve with slight top puff and button detail on wrist
-fit skirt with slight flare to ankle and 60cm train
-covered button closure at back
-split up left leg above knee
-small piece of material around waist can be easily removed, was a last minute addition
-fabric is Silk Crepe de Chine with a Polyester Triacetate lining

Condition: The dress has been dry cleaned twice, however there are still noticeable dirt marks on the edge of the train and inside the train. The stains on the inside of the train are the more obvious ones, and this is the part that drags along the ground so cannot be seen. The stains along the edge of the train did not come up in the photos I took, therefore I have taken a close up photo to give a better idea. This would be easily rectified by having the train altered by 2cm on the edge. There is some minor bubbling on the back near the mid seam. The material can crease if it has been folded up so I recommend to steam on the morning before wearing. Worked a treat for me. I have priced the dress at half price to reflect the condition.

Sizing: When measurements were taken during final fittings, I was a standard 8-10 (as listed measurements reflect). I unexpectedly lost a significant amount of weight in the fortnight before the wedding and was a size 6 on the wedding day. There was HEAPS of room in the dress but the dress still stayed up easily due to the boning on the inside. I personally think you can tell the dress is slightly too big in some of the photos, so a true size 8-10 would fill the dress out much nicer. The dress can fit a size 6-10.
