The Dress

This is a once worn, altered only for length and light bustling ribbons for the back train for the dancing part. It has been preserved and in box once it was worn and my planner took it to cleaners while on honeymoon. Sadly I don’t think I have any wedding photos when I got married anymore, but the arm sleeves fit a little loose (I was thinner) but I didn’t want to risk altering it when customs held it up an additional 3 months and I just wanted it to be simple and move on with all the other planning aspects of the wedding. The bust was a little large at the time so I had little pads temporarily stitched in which were removed I’m guessing from the cleaners but still in the box. The empire waist was very comfortable and there is a band on the inside that helps the dress lay nicely (think like a jog bra band maybe 1.5” wide). There are no tears or snags anywhere on the dress or even the trim. The back buttons are tedious so you’ll need a patient girlfriend to get you all buttoned up in the back; same with the bustling for the train. I can’t believe I spent this much all those years ago and to only wear it once… ahhh, age has changed how I spend now. This belongs to a petite lovely soul that will enjoy this and feel absolutely beautiful and not have to spend the original price to only enjoy this once. I’d always dreamt I would wear this another day after heavy altering; if this post doesn’t create any interest, I may just have to do that but want to give this a chance first!
