The Dress

Beautiful custom made “New Fiona” gown by Mira Zwillinger. As seen on celebrities like Marina Szczesna and Leona Lewis. I listed this dress as a size 2 as I’m normally a size 2 but there is no size label as the dress was custom made.

This is a layered tulle dress with white, hand embroidered guipure flowers. The original design had a belt, which was removed as part of the customization to expose the beautiful waist line. The outer layer of the dress does not have a seam at its waist as most gowns do. This allows a visually thinner waist and an unobstructed waterfall effect of elegant embroideries.

I only wore this dress for a few hours for the reception and it was immediately professionally dry cleaned.

Alterations

This dress was altered and fit me perfectly. My measurements are: 34 bust, 27 waist, 37 hips . I’m 5’2” and wore 5” heels on my wedding day and the dress skimmed the floor. I removed the train so I could dance without damaging the dress (bustles add extra stress to a gown and could damage the delicate tulle). My seamstress also reinforced a couple of the appliqué flowers which was so thoughtful of her!
