The Dress

I bought this dress from The Mews in New York City in 2021. It was custom made by the designer in Paris and then professionally fitted by Nadin Fashion Alteration in Midtown Manhattan. The fabric is a really light silk georgette and the central panel is a beautifully worked embroidered tulle. The dress itself was $4,897 USD and it's had $750 worth of alterations to adjust the length and to accommodate the slightly larger bust (36D).

The v neck front and back have modesty tulle panels so that they don't slip and it feels really secure.

I absolutely loved wearing this dress for my Icelandic elopement. The material is so light and moves beautifully in any breeze. Plus, it was really, really comfortable.

I'm 5' 3” and wore boots with a roughly 3-inch heel.

Following the wedding, I had the dress professionally cleaned by Bridgestone Cleaners for $600. It’s fully ready for its second act!!
