The Dress

Justin Alexander Signature (88074SD2) this beaded bodice features a V-neckline with illusion trim, paired with a crepe fit-and-flare skirt accented with a crepe belt at the natural waist. Beautiful cascading line of buttons down the entire length of the gown (buttons below the zipper seam are ornamental).

I felt absolutely STUNNING in this dress. I love beaded dress details but also wanted something that would show off my figure and be comfortable through a whole night of dancing - the beaded bodice + lightweight crepe made this the perfect combo! I'm small-chested and wanted to show off more beading than skin so I ordered this dress with a raised neckline modification, 7-inches above the waistline rather than the default plunging neckline.

I didn't want a bulky bustle to change the gorgeous slim silhouette of the dress, so I had the train shortened to sweep-length (just enough to create the beautiful waterfall of fabric behind you in photos) and the seamstress added a "mini-bustle" for dancing (as seen in the last picture). The dress was ordered new for my wedding (Spring '22) and professionally dry-cleaned within 1 week after wearing. It looks perfect and clean, ready to be in the spotlight for another beautiful bride!

Alterations

The length was hemmed to fit my height of 5'4" plus 3" block heels. Train was hemmed to sweep-length and there is a clear button hook hidden approx. knee-height amongst the white ornamental line of buttons for the train to be bustled. Seamstress added a line of tiny hook & eye closures beneath the top 5 buttons for extra reinforcement and my own peace of mind. Seamstress took up the straps less than 0.5-inch at the shoulder.
