The Dress

Fully beaded Alon Livne Kate dress. I can't tell you how many compliments I've received on this dress - the fit is so flattering and it has an old Hollywood feel to it.

Originally bought by another bride whose wedding was cancelled due to Covid, and purchased by me on StillWhite! I had such an incredible experience that I would love for this dress to be enjoyed at another beautful wedding.

Considering it is fully beaded, I didn't find it heavy at all. There is a loop under the train which can easily be held on your wrist for walking around or dancing.

The full open back means that it's an easier fit and the lining has a bit of stretch to it. Beads are pearl style with crystal accents in an almost art-deco pattern on the dress. Cup is built out and lined - I'm quite flat chested, so it could definitely fit a fuller bust. Bodice is sheer to the waist where there is a pearl belt. Skirt has a double nude and ivory lining and it zips up at the back.

In terms of wear on the day, I did accidentally step on the front hem so there is a slight tear - pictured - that could easily be repaired. There are some threads from the beads/crystal strips, but also easily just tacked down.

Alterations

I had the hem taken up as I am only 163cm, wearing 7cm heels. The scalloped hem was cut and shifted upwards to retail the detail in the train. Train not shortened at all.
Straps were also shortened 1 inch, but are sewn underneath the cup so could easily be let out.
