The Dress

Absolutely stunning dress that I still get compliments for 8 months later! I bought this brand new in 2019 before the pandemic and wore it in autumn 2021.

DETAILS:
The bodice of the top is corseted on the inside, has a zip externally as well as gem buttons to hide the zip. The flowers on the bodice are like delicate 3D crochet that adorn the entire bodice, with some of the flowers flowing down the layered skirts.

There are around six layers of skirt, two under skirts, a layered skirt of netting for body, a silky opaque layer, and two further layers of delicate tulle which are in choppy layers.

The train is approx 25” long (64cm) from the floor at the heels.

ALTERATIONS:
I had some lace added to the sweetheart ‘V’ as I have a large bust and was concerned about showing too much in the church. This can easily be removed by a seamstress.

I had the dress taken in slightly at the waist and hemmed. Measurements with shoes are in the description.

I had a loop added to the underside of the train to put on my finger for the first dance.

CONDITION:
The dress has been professionally dry cleaned and is in great condition. The first layer of skirt (closest to your legs) has some slight stains from the floor, but you cannot see these, as it’s under a further fee layers of skirts. There’s also a few small yellowish marks near the top of the train where the loop is.

There’s a small hole to the right of the train, about the size of a button and not noticeable in the layers.

EXTRAS:
I hired a small hoop from the bridal shop to help move around. I would recommend this.
