The Dress

Selling my beautiful Sylvia Rose wedding dress bought from Jean Fox Bridal in Castle Hill, Sydney.
RRP $1995. Selling for $1000 or price negotiable.

It's comfortable, easy to move around in, light yet full bodied due to the chiffon material. It has a high cut with fitted bodice, sheer front and back with lovely intricate decorative lace and beading, and buttons all the way to the top on the back. It also has pockets which was awesome :)

I wore simple white flats for shoes (I'm usually a size 5-6) which I'm happy to include for free if desired.

Professionally dry cleaned by Sydney Wedding Gown Preservation who cleaned a few very light stains and tiny tears/pulls at the bottom of the dress and train so it looks like new. It has been stored in its original garment bag on a hanger with cardboard bust form (provided by the dry cleaning company) to support the sheer neckline and not cause stretching from the weight of the dress.

Alterations

Professionally altered for $840 as the dress was still quite large for me and I am very short (original size 6 dress measurements: bust 93cm, waist 75cm, hips 101cm).

Alterations included:
- Making back darts and covering with lace
- Taking bodice up by 1 inch and replacing skirt, belt and beading
- All layers of hems taken up
- Bustle added
- Medium bra cups inserted
