The Dress

First off, this dress has POCKETS!!! Yeah, pockets. Beautiful sweatheart neckline on a corseted top. There is textured ruching on the bodice. The bottom has gorgeous geometric flowers made by textured ribbon. It's a classic silhouette with a modern twist. It was extremely comfortable to wear and dance in--I didn't want a dress that I would have to fuss with all night or worry about eating and drinking in. My wedding was in late March in New York City and it was a cold, sunny day. I didn't feel hot in the dress at all until the very end of the night when we were really dancing. I'm not really a princess-y bride and I didn't think I would end up with a ballgown style, but it ended up being just perfect. I'm petite (just under 5'2) and I have an hourglass figure so the ballgown style really accentuated my body type. I'm wearing 4 inch heels in these photos. The color is Ivory, though I would call it the bright end of the ivory family with very little yellow. Wtoo/Watters makes this dress in two other colors, champagne and blush.

I had the bodice taken in somewhat along the top and the neckline had to be adjusted a bit because it wasn't fitting snug to my torso at first. There is an internal bra/corset that could be adjusted further. I ended up wearing it on the tightest clasp. It really stayed up all night. I added cups because I have a larger chest and wanted the support without having to also wear a bra. The internal corset is very supportive on its own. The cups could be easily removed. Also, the dress in its original form had MUCH more crinoline and a longer train. If you try on this dress in a salon, it will be fuller in the skirt and with a train. I wanted the dress to be lighter and I didn't want a train so I had a significant amount of the crinoline removed and most of the train hemmed. I think it would be possible to add more crinoline back if you wanted a fuller skirt. There is still a slight train in the back. I didn't not bustle the dress, but that's an easy alteration. I found dancing in the dress without a bustle to be pretty easy.

I have more photos so if you have a particular angle you'd like to see, please reach out.

The dress is in excellent condition--no stains or tears. It has been cleaned. If you are in the NYC area, I'd be happy to arrange a time for you to see the dress in person and try it on.
