***EDIT - If not sold in the next couple of weeks, I plan to gift my dress to a bride-in-need, so get in quick!*** Hello bride to be! I recently wore this beautiful dress on my wedding day. It has been altered from original off the rack size to suit my shape which is hourglass - I am approx 161 cm tall, curvy with a size 14-16 on the bottom and a 12-14 on top. I wear a 34-36D bra. My personal measurements are as follows: Bust = 102 cm Actual Waist = 83 cm Dress “waist” (rib cage/under the boobs) = 88 cm (The belted waist part of the dress sits closer to the top of the rib cage) Hips = 114 cm The dress would suit someone between 160 cm and 170 cm in height depending on type of heels you want to wear (I am 161cm and wore an 8cm heel). Can also easily be taken up for a shorter lady. If you’re a size 12 or 14 it will fit. The straps have excess material in case they need to be lengthened back out (I had them shortened a fair bit as I am quite small/narrow in the shoulders). There are pads built in to the boobs which help provide shape and support. I had small embellishments/jewels added to the sheer fabric at the front so that the cleavage wasn’t as exposed and it also added an additional lovely detail. There are sheer panels under the arms (no jewels here!) There are two thin narrow “belts” around the waist - purely aesthetic. One of these has come loose but just requires a couple of single stitches to pop back in to place (I can arrange for this to be done). The back is zipped and has had an extra strong hook added at the top which can be removed if necessary. The train is long and has buttons (fake) all the way down to the bottom. There is a bustle and the whole thing can be pinned up to whichever button desired. There is a looped handle thing too but I didn’t make use of that. The material falls really nicely, isn’t heavy but creates a lovely shape. Easy to clean too as it’s polyester. As far as wedding dresses go, this is very comfortable. I I got married in a quarry and partied all night and drank red wine and the dress was filthy but has come up good after a clean. No discerning marks or stains visible, although there are a couple of buttons and the stitching along the bottom of the train that have a tinge of red dirt - definitely not obvious to anyone unless you’re up close and personal! They would probably loosen up and come out with further cleaning but I really don’t think it’s necessary. I spent a total of $1400 on this dress, and have reduced the price on account of the minor flaws and the fact that a bride may need to fork out for further adjustments.
Hem taken up to suit a total height of 170cm (front only). Straps taken up as shorter body than the original size (can be lengthened back) and bust area material taken in to suit a 34-36D boob size. Embellishments on front sheer. Strong hook added. Button strength added for all day bustle.
