The Dress

Hey Everyone!!!

I am selling my pre-owned, absolutely gorgeous, stunning, and classic Monique Lhuillier Josephine wedding gown that I wore at my wedding in August of 2020. I would like to start by saying that I am still very happily married and I feel as if having my wedding gown sit in the box for the rest of its life would be a sad shame so I am looking for another bride to be wear this gown that has brought me so much luck!!!

This gown is unlike any other. It features a gorgeous sweetheart lace bodice with removable off the shoulder sleeve caps. As you can see in my video, at church, I removed the sleeves and wore a tulle shawl over my shoulders. So this dress can be worn both strapless or off the shoulder and still look fabulous! It features an interior waist corset fasten, and the dress does not budge. I did not have to adjust it or pull it up once through out the day. It has a zip back closure that is perfectly concealed by lace appliques. The lace detailing is exceptional and unlike any thing i have ever seen before. Wires were added to the inside of the bodice to give the bust a beautiful shape.

The gown only gets better with the insane ballgown skirt. The skirt features a printed silk. It is not true white, more of an ivory/cream white with a printed white floral design that catches the eye depending on the lighting. Underneath the top printed silk are about 5 layers of gorgeous tulle and a base layer slip that give the dress the perfect amount bounce. The actual construction of the dress is unreal. I am not sure how to describe it, but the way this dress moves with every step, every twirl, is amazing. The train may be very long, but it followed me around all day and night with ease. It flows behind you and is so light and airy and somehow mystical! As you can see in one of the photos, the long train has a gorgeous bustle, that features color coded ties to fasten the train up toward the top of the skirt. the gown is gorgeous both with and without the bustle but is just as easy to wear without the bustle as it was to wear with. The bustle only accentuates the dress, rather than ruining the look.

Bust: 38, Under Bust: 32 , Cup Size: C, Waist: 29, Hips :43.5

The dress was purchased at the Monique Lhuillier store in New York City and was altered by their master tailor. I am about 6 feet tall without shoes and the dress was worn with a 2.5-3 inch heel so there is plenty of room for hemming. After my wedding, I had my dress preserved the the company J. Scheer & Co., which is the recommended dress preservation of monique lhuillier. They made all necessary repairs to the small tears to the tulle under the skirt and expertly cleaned the gown and its gorgeously packaged, wrapped in tissue and stored in a box in a smoke free, pet free home and has the box has since been untouched. I can send you the e-mail with what the company told me they performed on the gown. This service alone cost me about $1,200 but has left the gown in pristine, like new condition.

The total purchase price of the gown with the veil and alterations was $15,496.72. I have the original receipt itemizing the costs. The retail price of the gown alone is $11,755. I am selling the gown only.
