The Dress

I am selling my Johanna Johnson “The Washington” gown and veil, purchased from the Johanna Johnson flagship store in Paddington NSW. The Washington gown (retail $6,990) and Soft Tulle Veil (retail $195 currently on sale) is from Johanna Johnson’s 2014 Muse collection. The dress was worn at my wedding in mid April 2015. The collection was inspired by New York City architecture – described as vintage glamour.

The dress is made from vintage ivory paneled French silk. The dress is a strapless sweetheart style, with cups in the bodice and silk buttons and zip at the back. The bodice fits snuggly; the dress hugs the hips and then falls beautifully to the ground with a train. The dress comes with a finger loop and a hook and eye to lift the train after the ceremony.

The soft tulle veil is fingertip length (approximately 90cm) and made of fine European ivory net tulle, gathered with handmade cotton loops.

I am 176cm (without heels) so the dress is quite long and can be taken up. The dress is an AU size 12: bust 93cm, waist 74cm, hips 98cm. I am an Aust 10 or 12 (depending on brand/fit), and I am confident it would fit either Aust 10 or 12. The hips were taken in slightly to ensure the perfect fit. Johanna Johnson’s seamstress did all alterations. 



The dress comes in its original bag, with cotton gloves and fabric swatch to match shoes and accessories. The dress has been professionally dry-cleaned by Johanna Johnsons recommended dry cleaner.

The dress is absolutely beautiful and was a dream to wear; I received so many compliments on the dress. You will feel like a vintage goddess on your special day if you choose this dress. The workmanship, fabric and details in this dress were second to none. You will really feel like a beautiful bride in this dress.
