The Dress

I bought this dress from Dion for Brides in Perth in 2014. This couture dress was made to order during 2014, and picked up late in the year for my wedding in November 2014.

The dress was worn once for my wedding in November, and has been professionally dry cleaned by Atlas Speciality Drycleaners to an as new condition.

I paid $4,000 for the dress brand new, and $430 for professional wedding drycleaning.

Some key notes about the dress:

- The dress is 100% raw Australian silk.
- The dress is couture made to order, not off the rack
- Dress comes in the original Dion for Brides bag, with all receipts from purchase and drycleaning.
- The dress has a tag size of 10, however I am usually a size 6-8 so I'd say it is a very small fitting dress.
- The dress is NOT WHITE. It is the Elizabeth De Varga colour Whisper which is a champagne⁄pink coloured ivory.
- The dress does up with a zip at the back, which has immitation buttons⁄loops over the top
- The bodice is completely covered in sequins
- There is a flower brooch on the front which is completely removable.
- There is glimmer tule sewn onto a section at the front. This is not removable however it is only sewn on with a few small microstitches if you wanted to customize it and take it off.
-The dress still has the standard length, and strap length of any standard size 10 wedding dress. As I am very tall, it did not need taking up at all and so there is a lot of room for it to be taken up for a shorter person.
- I had a bustle sewn into the dress by Dion for Brides. This just consists of three small loops that are microstitched into the seam that then loop up onto the buttons at the back. These loops are not very visable when you have the bustle down which I liked a lot. Please note - one of the loops has become un-sewn and so if you wanted to keep this feature you would need to have another loop sewn on. The whole bustle feature only cost me $50 to have added.
