The Dress
This is a separate skirt and top from BHLDN. Both size four with VERY little alteration. The top has one small alteration, which was to cinch up the deep V a little so the top didn't plunge so deeply, which could be easily snipped out. It's a sheer back and sheer cover over the chest making it easy to dance and not fear the girls will pop out nor have to yank your top up all night as it slides down.
The skirt was hemmed with a French bustle meaning it has a long train when not bustled. I am 5"3' and wore 3 inch heels and the dress was just above the ground. The existing hem is also a healthy couple of inches in the event someone wants to let it out. No stains, professionally dry-cleaned, and overall beautiful dress. The skirt is silk material with tulle underneath, and so sits like a true a-line off the body. See photo for side view of it bustled.
I wish there was a way to wear it again! Retailed at 1900, and I paid $150 for bustle and hem. Oh...and did I mention there are pockets?!
