The Dress

This is the dress for you if you want to feel like an absolute statuesque goddess on your wedding day.
A strapless fit-and-flare wedding dress with a flattering silhouette, inspired by Old Hollywood glamour.

The soft folds - asymmetric ruching / pleating is god's gift to a bigger girl, it will hide flaws and accentuate your figure. You can see that the model on the maggie sottero page is more an hourglass figure with a big bust and I'm more of a brick shape with a small bust and it looks lovely on both of us (at least in my opinion).

One great thing was the triple back fastening (corset, zip & buttons). First, it's a corset so you can really go to town on tightening (if you want to), and a corset is great if your size fluctuates. Then there is a zip that covers the corset. This was amazing as I was really conscious about not having an 'upper back muffin' over the top of my tight corset! and the zip-up covers all with a little space to breathe. Lastly the beautiful line of covered buttons that creates a sexy line down your back. You'll want a crochet hook or bobby pin to get the little elastic loops on and off each button on the day.

As with many people, our wedding was cancelled a few times before we finally got down the aisle, so this dress is now discontinued, such a shame... I wish every woman had the option to try this on.

Alterations

Tulle added by a professional tailor to the bottom between lining and dress to hold the bottom out a little in the flair.
loop added so you can bustle the train to dance.
