The Dress

Maurer, 1979, specific design and price unknown (can't remember, and the design isn't listed on the tag.) Purchased at a well-known Atlanta bridal boutique. Only worn once (at my 1979 wedding) then was professionally dry-cleaned and sealed in a special box for wedding dresses. Has been boxed up until I prepared to list it recently. There are no stains, tears, or other signs of damage. Full sleeves with long cuffs. Pearl and lace embellishments. Full-length veil. Dress has slight trail in back. Comes with a bodice to lower-leg underskirt. Size 12 by 1979 standards may be a 10 today. The dress was slightly altered for me. I am tall, 5'-10 and weighed 145 pounds then. Shoulders of dress measure 18 inches seam to seam; bodice is 17 inches long from shoulder to waist; waist is approx. 29 inches, bust is approx. 34 inches. Skirt measures about 62 inches from waist to floor.

This dress is elegant, very traditional, and in excellent shape to be 36 years old.
