Protea by Olivia Bottega: a beautifully well-made light ivory satin dress. Bought as a size 8, but fits perfectly (I am usually a size 2 or 4 US). Corset lace-up in the back allows for a snug fit for varying sizes. Long ivory train melting off of satin ball gown skirt. Looks like a luxurious, rich statement on simple elegance. Feels bold but not overstated. Has only been tried on 2-3 times, never worn, cleaned, or altered (wedding was cancelled). Comes in Olivia Bottega garment bag.
This dress is a dream dress for high ceilings, orchestras, simple elegance. It is the center of attention, but it doesn't try to be. The tiniest details are perfected in the bodice and accentuate the neck and collar gorgeously. A very clever twist on the sleeves that turn into a waistband and cascade down the gown, add a voluminous look to the dress, and make your waist look incredibly small and sophisticated. Hidden pockets are a complete gem.
