The Dress

This dress has a beautifully detailed lace top that covers your arms but still looks elegant, and the A-line shape of the skirt is extremely flattering and drapes beautifully. The dress has a bodice that comes with a built in bra strap that goes around your body to ensure it stays in place, and a zip to close the bodice. Layered over the bodice is a very light and delicate stretch lace top, which has long full length sleeves and buttons at the back. The skirt of the dress is an A-line skirt with a light chiffon overlay. Underneath the hem there is a loop to put around your wrist for dancing. The dress is by Bianco Evento, but as it's a few years old now I was not able to find the specific model of the dress on their website. It is very close to their other dress called Vanessa, but without the silk belt that Vanessa seems to have built into it.

My sister bought this dress for me from a woman who bought it brand new for her own wedding, which took place in 2018. She was a size 12 and 163cm (5ft4in) when she got married. I optimistically bought the dress hoping I would be able to lose weight and fit into it, however unfortunately that has not happened, so I have reluctantly bought a new dress that fits me rather than try and adjust this one (I am size 16 now). I did speak to a seamstress who said it would be very easy to adjust the dress to fit a larger size without too much hassle, so it could be adjusted to fit a 14 or possibly even 16 (or of course make it smaller).

It has been altered by the original seller to her height, but I am the same height as she was and on me it was still slightly long (I think my heels are lower than hers were), so it would work for someone slightly taller (maybe up to 5ft6in with a low heel), or can also be adjusted to fit someone shorter if needed.

Alterations

The length of the hem has been adjusted to suit the previous owner who was 5ft4in.
