The Dress

Beautiful understated silk wedding gown. Please note this dress is a size 9 (can’t select size 9), but due to the relaxed fit would suit an 8-10. I wore this when I was 21 weeks pregnant, although it is not specifically a maternity dress the fit allowed for some room to grow. I had some minor alterations done by a specialist bridal atelier. It has been professionally dry cleaned. There are no visible marks at the top of the dress, there are some minor signs of wear along the hem, only visible if looking closely.
Lola Varma had it made to order with a slightly shorter hem to accommodate my height (164cm without heels). It is intended to lift up slightly at the front to show off your shoes, with a “puddle” train at the back. I wore 8cm heels and am usually a size 8-10.

Alterations

- taken up at shoulders to fit my height (164cm)
-taken out at back seem to allow proper drop of the dress (I had gotten wider and this allowed it to look like the fit on the model)
-stitched 1.5cm at bust to make it a little less risqué (I was a c cup at the time)
- busy cups sewn delicately into the lining of the dress
- the alterations are not visible to the eye.
