The Dress

This dress has a soft rosy blush colour with hand-dyed lace - it has a warmer tone than pure white, which is one of the reasons I picked it. I also loved that it is a shorter (tea length) dress; I'm a petite woman so I felt this was better for me. On my wedding day I wore it with shoes that had around 2" heels and I'm 5'1" without heels.

The dress does come with a tonal blush coloured ribbon, which you can see on the wedding photos (I forgot to add it with the mannequin photos!).

It has amazing boning and cup shape, along with all the shaping bits you'd expect including a waist stay. I've changed quite a bit since wearing this dress (I've lost weight and become muscular... how annoying that I did it after my wedding instead of before!) so it's hard to measure myself in comparison to this dress now. However, I would say that I was around a size 10 at the time. It doesn't zip up on the mannequin in the pictures even this is a size 10 mannequin but that's because the mannequin is rock hard and this is a corset dress! You can expect it to cinch you in a bit. However, I will update this listing shortly with some measurements of the dress itself, or please message me if I haven't got round to it yet. I would suggest that my bust was probably on the smaller side for a 10, it was maybe 33-34" or so. Hip size shouldn't be a big deal with this dress because the skirt is so full.

Speaking of the skirt, it has a lot of lovely layers of tulle, a rigid crinoline border around the bottom of one of the inner layers to give it structure, and an opaque layer in the blush coloured satin. I didn't get this one with an extra petticoat, it is quite full enough on its own!

I wore this dress very carefully on the day and I can't see any damages to it. It is my dream dress and I am very sad to give it up, but I know that it can make another bride as happy as it made me, and now I'm ready to put some funds towards a new dream home with my husband instead!
