The Dress

This vintage inspired all-silk gown oozes 1930s glamour.

The design showcases beautiful silk chiffon, french chantilly lace cap sleeves and sequins dotted all over the bodice, sleeves and back. A row of silk clad buttons secures the back of the dress from the neck down to the waist. The waist is clinched by a silk sequin embellished sash (front) which continues around into a flat bow at the back. The bodice falls away into a silk skirt which skims the hips and bottom, filling out into a long puddle train.

This Jenny Packham Aspen gown is in ivory and was purchased from the Jenny Packham boutique in London. It has been altered by a very reputable tailor to fit me (I am about 156cm, a size 6 and wore 4 inch heels).

Important to note that as the dress is not skin tight, slightly smaller/larger measurements would also fit well.
Natural waist (slimmest part of my waistline - above the navel but below the ribcage) measures 25.5 inches.
Hip (fullest part of hip area) is 36 inches.

I had the modesty panel added to the front of the dress and a loop (for the wrist and or finger) added under the train of the dress for walking / dancing around.

The gown has been professionally dry cleaned by London's finest dry cleaners, Jeeves Dry Cleaners.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton wore a similar gown in teal to two royal gala events.
This quality silk and french chantilly lace gown will make you feel like a beautiful bride, full of class and splendour. It would be a wonderful opportunity for someone else to feel as incredibly special as I did when I wore the gown.
