The Dress

This dress made me feel like a princess when I was wearing it, which was definitely the look and feel that I wanted. I loved the A-line shape and fitted (but not uncomfortable) bodice, which is flattering on any body type, and the V-neck really highlights the collar bones. The dress was actually really comfortable, and I felt like I could easily move around, dance, pose for photos, etc. There are seven layers to the skirt portion, which contributed to the ethereal, royal and playful feel (and made it really fun to spin around for photos :). The illusion back is definitely one of the most unique parts of this dress - I received many compliments from friends on family on the delicate and elaborate floral-like design. The belt is missing one jewel on the left side, but it's minor and barely visible, especially from far away.

I also have a veil that was my mothers that has a similar aesthetic. I didn't end up wearing it and opted for flowers, but would be happy to throw it in as a part of a set!

Alterations

I had the hem line taken up (I am 5' 4" and wore cowboy boots with a low, about 1" heel). I also had the straps tacked to make them more narrow at the front, but they could easily come undone if you prefer the wider strap. I also had a jeweled belt added that could also be taken off if you prefer a simple white ribbon at the waist. I also have a spare jeweled belt if you're interested - I can include it if you wanted to swap them out.
