The Dress

A beautifully custom made ballroom gown style ivory wedding dress, with intricate hand sewn vertical black embroidery.

As a petite bride-to-be I wanted a style that would lend height to my short stature, and the vertical black lines worked a treat, as well as leading the observers eyes up towards the decolletage. The simplistic and non-fussy neckline and straps also framed the face and hair beautifully, so that this became the focal point.

It has a small train approximately 60+cm's long at it's longest point. Meant to be worn with a medium hoop underneath. Made for myself at 151 cm's tall plus high heels.

It features a bust flattering square neckline with a 'pinched in' tight & high waste-line, it is made for a petite bride who want's that 'something different' with the black embroidery.

It's a comfortable gown which allowed me to move freely on my wedding day; eat, drink, dance; and it also photographed beautifully. It drew a collective gasp from the congregation when I started to walk down the aisle.

The dress was professionally dry-cleaned the day following the wedding, and was packaged in their 'elite' moth & mold protective tissue paper and box. It has been stored and not disturbed since the wedding, but it's now time for the dress to find a new bride to adorn.

A perfect choice for the slightly non-traditional bride. I wore it with long black gloves, but it looks just as stunning with ivory gloves - or none at all. Let the dress speak for itself! With the intricate embroidery it also suites someone with somewhat of a minimalist approach to accessories.
