The Dress

Couture Gown & Veil set, made in Italy! Selling as a set for a bride of discerning taste - but, who loves a steal! ;-)

Sheath/Column dress with spaghetti strap open back in 100% Italian silk, with a dramatic peacock skirt made of Italian tulle and gorgeous lace on horsehair tulle. Floral details on the back. A beaded empire waist detail and delicate ruched tulle over the top of the bust.

The designer is called Juliette and I was the only bride in North America to ever wear this design.

It was purchased at the premier bridal store in Abruzzo, Vogue Atelier in Avezzano, Italy For 4,000 Euros. Converted to CAD at the time, that was approximately $5,600 CAD.

It is a sheath or column dress with a low back but then with a large skirt and train. There is a thick, beautiful Italian lace with horse hair tulle that starts at the hips and flares out and this gorgeous lace over horse hair detail repeats several times. Also, at the bottom of the low back are large beautiful silk flowers. Super unique. Fabric is made of 100% Italian silk. Since it is silk it is Off-White in colour.

Compared to other dresses listed on this site, mine is being offered along with it's companion veil! I haven't seen any others doing that. So it is a much bigger value.

For a petite bride, this dress is a dream.

The silk tube/column dress with spaghetti straps and beautiful hand beading at the empire waist, creates the illusion that you are very long. It is so elegant. There is some delicate tulle ruching on the upper bust which is also very flattering and cups are sewn in for support and structure.

Meanwhile, the back is an explosion of tulle and Italian lace that has to be seen in person. So much drama and wow factor, yet very lightweight and easy to move and dance in. The train combined with the low, open back and criss cross straps are jaw dropping! This dress was part of a line inspired by Swan Lake.

The veil is tiered and bordered with the exact lace of the dress which is so elegant and dreamy. When you have the blusher part over your face, the shortest part goes to about fingertip length and then gets longer in a graduated way.
