The Dress

Beautiful Carolina Herrera v-neck silk mikado "Lyla" gown from the Spring 2020 Bridal Collection. The label is size 10. I usually wear a size 6-8, so I got it altered at Carolina Herrera by their in-house seamstress.

The main alterations were taking in the waist and bust area a bit (I wear a 34C bra and measure at 37 inches), but nothing drastic. She also added a way to bustle the dress in the back and make it easier to walk/dance. I'm 6 ft tall and wore low heels. The dress as it is now is closer to a size 8.

I wore it once to my April 2020 home wedding at the beginning of Covid. I didn't even go outside while wearing it, and it is in almost perfect condition.

I adore the dress! It is gorgeous and timeless, and the simplicity allows for any type of hairstyle, jewelry, or veil. I would go back and choose this exact same dress again!

I got it professionally dry cleaned and it comes with the Carolina Herrera garment bag.
