The Dress

I am selling my beautiful Dreamers and Lovers Ruth Gown, used once,professionally dry-cleaned and in a sealed box for preservation in perfect condition. Purchased in August 2021, worn in November 2021 this gown is still a current model! It is a "Standard size 6" eith Ivory Lace & Liner.

Unable to find anything simply elegant with bohemian vibes in Australia, I took a huge chance and ordered my gown from the US company Dreamers and Lovers who handmade each gown onsite! It was a mammoth effort and expense getting this gown to Australia, I wouldn't be surprised if it's the only one!

My favourite charactistics of this dress include:

- The stunning delicate translucent native wattles/ eucalyptus lace. The dress also features panels of garden floral lace on each hip, which is so flattering and boho! The dress has a teo types of beautiful lace trim, one of which frames the train & panels beautifully, and the second which delicatley frames the neckline and back!

- The A line cut, with a jawdropping open back! The sleeves can be worn two ways, as cap sleeves (like I wear them) or off the should (like the model wears them), this dress is flattering on any body!

- This gown is so light and flows and floats with ease and grace, it bustles so smoothly the dress looks like it has barely been bustled unlike tulle which is so unruly! The lace and silk liner is so soft and quality, no hint of scratchy-ness! I was able to dance and go to the toilet all by myself!

Dress was professionally dry-cleaned and will be posted in sealed box.
Dress will come with its Dreamers and Lovers Branded Dress bag and hanger.

Alterations

The dress has been altered by a professional seamstress.

The lace & liner length was permenantly shortened at the front & side of the dress to suit my height. From head to toe with 11cm heals I am 175cm tall. The dress has a Shoulder -Toe Measurement of 157.5cm (including 11cm shoes), the train of the dress was not shortened.

The bodice of the dress has been temporarily brought in to suit my measurements (B 83, W70, H 94) but all fabric was tucked instead of cut, so could be let out again to original measurements with ease.

We upgraded the bustle hook to a button for aesthetic and strength. Done by my seamstress, so that I could dance with ease and so the dress still flowed and sat smoothly with minimal "bump". There is also a second "bustle"option, with a wrist band.
