The Dress

This is a Monique Lhuillier wedding gown from her Platinum collection. The dress is stunning and the quality is impeccable. The dress is even better and more beautiful in real life! I wanted a showstopping ball gown that cinched my waist and looked romantic and timeless. I felt amazing in the dress as it literally sucked me in and made my waist petite. I spent many days in alterations at a custom wedding gown designer boutique. She did so much to this dress to make it fit perfectly and to have structure.

We added the poof at the back, which was inspired by Kevin Costner’s wife’s gown. Same dress. We made the bust into a deeper sweetheart neckline. The dress has a petticoat underneath which gives it so much fullness. I had a veil custom made to match the dress perfectly. The Satin roses that are featured on the dress are also on the veil and attach on the wrists. I also have a matching satin rose barrette. Reese Witherspoon is wearing this dress on cover of Vanity Fair Magazine. Ask me for photo :) I only had room for 8 pics here.

Dress has a Gorgeous train and can be bustled for dancing.

We had the best specialty dry cleaner in San Diego, CA clean the dress and package it with their specialty wedding package. The dress was worn with care and is in fabulous, cleaned and pressed condition. We also had this place do the wedding package before wearing the dress in the wedding and they forgot to open the roses up after cleaning! So, the photos show the roses closed, but they’re supposed to be open and big!

Alterations

The entire dress was worked on to make it perfect. We added the poof at the back of dress. Deepened the sweetheart neckline. Made the dress have a corset to really cinch the waist and added structure. We added a V to the back so it would have a prettier shape. We made a petticoat for the dress. The veil is also custom made.
