The Dress

This dress is simple, elegant and sophisticated, and is perfect for the modern minimalist bride with a bit of romantic lace and bead detailing on the low v-back and waistlines. The plunging neckline made me feel elegant and sexy. The dress also looks great with a blazer tossed over the shoulders for a colder day to get that Parisian “cool” vibe that is still elegant yet stylish. This dress is 100% silk crepe so it flows beautifully and feels like a dream on the skin.

Alterations

The Stevie Gown originally came with a lace train, but I preferred the simplicity and natural flow of the silk, so I opted for a made-to-order with a plain silk train. In addition, the dress was made-to-order as a 2-4-6 so perfect if you have a bit more of a pear-shaped body. I had some slight alterations in the shoulder/bust and removed some beadwork from the straps to make it more simple. I did have cups put in the dress, but had to remove them due to a growing bustline with me getting pregnant (3 months at time of wedding photos shown here). Cups will be included with the dress as well as the extra beadwork I had removed from the shoulders. You will have to get them re-sewn on if you want them, or alternatively the beadwork could become detailing for a hairpiece for you or your flower girl. I also had a bustle added so you can pin the train up for dancing and easier walking.
