The Dress

Own a piece of fashion history and wear it for your special day! I intended to wear this dress on my wedding day but realistically, it won't fit me, and it deserves to be loved and worn by someone else.

I've done some research and, based on the collection number and the fact that the tag is handwritten, I believe it is early/mid 80s.

Please note that the dress does require some work to be big-day ready. There are a few dime-sized stains and there are seams coming away. I've tried to give an indication of this in the photos, but please do ask for further details if you need.

It is sized FR 40, which is equivalent to a UK 12. However, it is more like a UK 8 (perhaps a small UK 10). The measurements are as follows:
Bust 34"
Waist 28"
Length 48" (please note it's a handkerchief hem)
Hips free sizing

The dress is 100% silk.

It comes with the tag of the vintage seller from whom I bought the dress originally. I believe that this dress is worth a great deal more (however, am no expert). I am asking for the price I paid as I fully recognise that it does need some work to be repaired.
