The Dress
This is my absolute dream dress. With intricate lace, sequin and beaded embroidery, it literally made me shine like a diamond. It has incredible hand sewn quality that Berta is so well-known for. The dress lining has a subtle blush tone to it, which gives a warm appearance. I opted for custom cap sleeves because I got married in a church; these can easily be removed. (I also have additional fabric from when the dress was hemmed so that you can make your own sleeves.) I’ve included photos of the dress at each stage (with and without cap sleeves). The bust could definitely fit someone larger than me (I used additional padding the day of the wedding). The dress can be bustled, as shown in the video. The dress survived the wedding with no damage at all. Please feel free to message with other questions.
Alterations
The dress was originally a size 4 and we hemmed it to my waist size (27 inches, size 0-2). We also shortened the spaghetti straps and hemmed the bottom to fit my height in my wedding heels.
