The Dress

I bought this Pronovias dress (sorry I cannot remember the name of the model) in May 2012 at Designer Bridal Room in Hong Kong, before coming back to NZ to get married. I paid it $HK27000 or the equivalent of NZ$4600, because it was Hong Kong it was tax free, in NZ you'd probably want to add an extra $500 at least.
The dress is a NZ size10 (your real clothes size). I'm 169 cm for 64kg, though I was probably a bit heavier at the time of my wedding.

It's a gorgeous ivory dress with delicate lace patterns and beads, laced cap sleeves, sweetheart neckline and open back. Perfect if you are thinking of having a vintage wedding and want something classic and glamorous at the same time. The train has hooks making it easier to hold if you want to dance later in the night, came in quite handy for the first dance, and I have to say even with the train down, that dress did not make walking hard (always a plus when you are in heels and stressed).

The only alteration I had made was to the straps, by having it stitched to the front so it would fit better.

The dress has been dried cleaned and has been kept inside the shop's original bridal gown bag.

I have loved that dress from the moment I set eyes on it, and when I tried it on it was a magical moment. I could keep it in my closet forever and never let it see the light of the day but when I think about that, it feels like such a shame. Such a wonderful item of clothing should be put on display not locked away inside a bag inside a closet. So I've decided to sell it, in hope that it will bring its new owner as much joy on their special day as it did on mine. This dress will definitely make you feel like the most beautiful bride in the world.
