The Dress

This is a one of a kind! After falling in love with the lace and the front of this dress, I decided to have the back altered. Rather than keeping the buttons all the way down the back, I had an alteration to create a key hole. There are 2 buttons at the top, 5 buttons and a zipper at the bottom with a lovely key hole in between. Even if you find this dress elsewhere, the back will look different.
I love everything about this dress, especially all the lace straps and lace details around the bottom of the tulle. The lace is ivory with a café dress underneath and porcelain tulle overlaying the café dress. The dress fits perfectly snuggly around the bust and waist, and then flows down and out a bit, while the porcelain tulle flows out even more to a train with more lace detail. The fitted bust/waist of this dress is see through, but the lace details are thick enough that it does not look overly revealing.
The dress and tulle puddled around my feet. I am 5'8'' and preferred that look, so I did not alter the length of this dress. Someone taller would still be able to wear this dress or someone the same height or shorter has the opportunity to have the bottom hemmed if desired. I wore this dress in an outdoor wedding, but had it professionally dry cleaned and I do not see any noticeably stained spots on the bottom from being outside.
