The Dress

This might dress made me feel like a Princess, and honoured my unique personality.
It’s not at all boring, but also isn’t waaaay-out-there.
It has a full-length satin sheath underneath the fuller radiant semi-transparent ballgown skirt. Many types of lace are layered over the skirt and bodice, which blend together to form one whole. The long veil (which I paid an additional $500 for) is included in the sale. The dress is both eccentric and classic.
This unique combination made me feel special, sexy, traditional, modern AND like a Disney Princess - that might seem silly but it’s what I wanted! Check out the video to see how it moves.
I was a size 6-7 at the time, and am usually a 6-8. It is heavily padded in the bust (I’m a small B-cup, probably appearing to be a full C in the dress) but this can be altered (it was altered for me). I’m 5’3” and was wearing 4” heels - the dress was too long on me as I wanted that glamorous all-the-way-to-the-ground look, but it was certainly tricky walking around with a slightly too long dress. I stepped on the edge and slightly tore it, which was professionally repaired by a wedding dress maker in New Zealand where we were married (dress purchased in Adelaide - rapsimo.com.au for more information).
It was slightly shortened for me and wouldn’t be too much trouble for a dressmaker to shorten again if you’re more petite.
The photos of the dress and veil on hangers are after the wedding, after dry-cleaning and having the edge repaired. There is a tiny mark on the veil that didn't completely come out. Otherwise it looks exactly like new.
Our wedding was amazing. My husband cried when he saw me. We Honeymooned in LA and went to Disneyland. We now have a 15month old baby girl called Aurora.
The dress definitely has good ju-ju!

I’m selling it because I made a deal with my husband that I could spent $5000 on my dress and veil ONLY if I sold it after the wedding…which I’ve managed to put off until 2 years later. I’ve now been motivated with the extra incentive of a fully-paid Mummy-Makeover, so here I am.
I live in Adelaide, Australia, and the dress is in the care of my Mum in Christchurch, New Zealand.
