The Dress

This Amsale Ryder dress is stunning and timeless. It was one of the first I tried on while wedding dress shopping and I never found its equal. I’m sad to part with it but I hope that it might be able to make another bride as happy as it made me.

The dress is about as flattering a silhouette as possible – a ballgown with spaghetti straps, a full A-line skirt and a structured bodice. It has pockets, which made me unreasonably happy. The material is white silk faille.

The dress is super comfortable and light, and easy to dance in. It has a French bustle.

The gown is a bridal size 6 and was altered to fit me at Amsale’s headquarters by taking in the waist and bodice, and raising the hem. (I wear a size 2 normally.)

It was worn once for my wedding and professionally dry-cleaned. The fabric is slightly worn at the bottom of the hem, which would be an easy fix for a shorter bride.
