The Dress

Summary: This is a gently-used Galia Lahav Gala G-501 dress. I wore it for my late August 2021 wedding ceremony. It was comfortable, elegant, and timeless, with a hint of drama. I loved that it was essentially two looks in one because it comes with separate off-the-shoulder sleeves. It's described on the Galia Lahav website as "Expertly hand-draped in silk tulle and ... silk organza, this gossamer gown features a sexy, strapless corset bodice, voluminous sheer skirt, and thigh-high slit. Pair it with an optional silk tulle topper that drapes off-the-shoulder with long fitted sleeves ...."

Timeline: Dress purchased in November 2020; worn August 2021; dry-cleaned October 2021.

Customizations: I custom ordered this dress to have it made in a non-metallic ivory (instead of the metallic blush it comes in by default).

Sleeves and Veil: The tulle sleeve topper is a separate piece that came with the dress (made custom in ivory). The cathedral-length veil with blusher I wore was ~$2,000, and I will sell for an additional $1,000.

Alterations

The bodice was taken in and cups were added (can be removed). The built-in bodysuit panties were removed (because you could see the panties through the skirt, even with an added liner). A light-weight liner was added under the skirt (can be removed). The skirt was hemmed (I am 5'6 and I wore 3.5 inch heels with the dress).
