The Dress

Bought this dress directly from the Vera Wang store in Manhattan, NYC.
This dress is a gorgeously chic classic Vera. The low back is stunning while the front is simple and timeless. I have not seen anyone else in this dress! Truly embodies a classic, stylish bride who is chic and can dress it up with accessories or down with less. I wore it for the ceremony and first dance then changed into a party dress. It has been dry cleaned and is in perfect condition!
Fit:
It is a Vera Wang size 4. I only had it hemmed as it fit perfectly! The material is thick enough to smooth you, but fitted enough so that it looks very tailored. It also has some stretch which makes it extremely comfortable and probably why I didn't get to get any other alternations done. I tried on MANY dresses and this one was so incredibly comfortable, and (due to covid I had to push my wedding for 1.5 years) the dress still fit since the day I picked it out and is very forgiving material!
The straps on the shoulder and across the back are adjustable (each with 3 clasp options) so it can be easily fitted/adjusted to your body.
The bust is also very easy to fit - I am a 34 C and I had no problems here. (Didn't show if I was 'cold' either!) I did not wear a bra but if you want you can wear 'cutlets' and it would be concealed by the fabric design. For underwear I wore a commando no-show and was fine. You can also wear spanks if you wish as the fabric would hide it as long as you have ones that go down your thighs a bit vs a thong spanx. I am a jeans size 26 or 27, and usually a classic 2 or 4 (small) in pants.
The dress can also be bustled by the set of buttons on the underside (as you can see from 1 photo). Otherwise it has a slight train.
The back of the dress is low cut and sooo lovely. It doesnt go too low but enough to show off your bottom and give the dress an edge.

My exact measurements from Vera are the following (for reference on fit)
over bust: 31
bust: 32
underbust - 27.5
waist - 26
high hip - 32
low hip - 35.5
hallow to waist - 12
** reminder I only had this dress hemmed a bit. The size 4 fit me wonderfully and above are my personal measurements for reference. Note the dress is stretchy!

Alterations

This is a Vera Wang size 4 dress. For alternations I only had to have it hemmed. I am 5'4 (Without shoe) and my heels were 3.5 inches high. The dress was hemmed to include my shoe height. There was no alternations done to the body or straps of the dress.
