The Dress

This beautiful Darb wedding gown was designed by Brad Webb of Darb Bridal Couture and was worn once on my wedding day. I had this gown made by Brad and his team over 11 fittings for approximately $5,000.

The design is only slightly modified from the dress which won Brad the Australian Fashion Design Awards Supreme Award. Brad's craftsmanship and design is impeccable.

The gown is strapless, with the top made of hand sewn organza folds, a large statement silk bow on the waist, followed by a full organza skirt. It includes a separate petticoat (note: this is not a hoop petticoat and I found it very comfortable) also from Darb, which also adds to the fullness of the skirt.

The gown should fit size 6. I am quite petite. Please note that I am 163cm tall and wore approximately 11cm platform heels on the day.

Leon's Fine Dry Cleaning in Wooloongabba have dry cleaned the gown (as recommended by Darb). As noted above, I have only worn this dress once and taken extremely good cadre of it both on the day and since my wedding. The skirt has no tears or rips and only has the slightest discolouration of approximately a 2cm area on the very bottom of the skirt (this is in no way visible without specifically focusing on it).
