The Dress

Charlie Brear Isere skirt, Calantha top and blush pink silk sash. Recently dry cleaned. We haven't received our wedding photos yet, so I've had to use what family gave me.

The 1920s skirt is extremely fun and comfortable to wear. I had so much fun moving in the skirt, simply walking made such a great effect, let alone dancing in the evening! The movement of the skirt is so fun that my family turned me into a GIF. The skirt is lined, so can be worn with the Calantha top, another top, or a sheath dress underneath. I wore it with a 8cm heel.

I wore the Calantha top with a stick on bra (InvisBra - highly recommend). As the top has been altered in stayed in place really well throughout the day.

The sash is beautiful. I played around with how it sat. Could alternatively have worn the dress and skirt with a decorative belt.

All three pieces have been dry cleaned since the wedding (August 2021). There are some very faint marks on the sash and bottom of the skirt but they are only visible if you really scrutinise.

I love this dress so much that it breaks my heart to part with it. I'm moving abroad so I need to sell before 10 December 2021. Do let me know if you have any questions.

Alterations

I bought all three pieces in a sample sale. Dress and skirt were originally size 12 however had them heavily altered. Suits someone with a small bust. I had several inches taken off the bottom of the skirt. This means there is some spare fringing (but not dry cleaned) so further alterations can be made. The waist of the skirt was also taken in.

The top had an additional seem added in the back to ensure that it didn't 'float' around on the front (to basically ensure the fabric sat properly so my bra was concealed).
