The Dress

Ian Stuart Paradis dress.

My dream wedding dress! Stunning taupe colour under soft white tulle layers with a delicate leaf applique all over the bodice and trailing down the dress.

Built in bra support and boning, fitted waistband in the taupe and then a very full sweeping skirt (with built in net underskirt) that is quite round in shape with a very full train.

Bustle ties the back of the dress up for easier dancing!

The fabric of the skirt is totally stunning - it's full and holds it own, but the top layer has such movement & texture as it has very delicate twinkly beading that catches the light... it's so beautiful on!

I was a size 16 when I wore it but as it is corset back it would almost certainly fit a 14 - 18 as it's so adjustable.

I live in Altrincham & can deliver locally, or if you prefer you could come to my home to try the dress on.

With this being a size 16 and so long you have plenty of dress to play with to alter to fit you perfectly. The corset back also makes the dress very 'adjustable'.

I'll be a little sad to see this beauty go but wholeheatedly believe it should be enjoyed & worn as it would be such a waste to store it away.

If you have any questions please do ask - I have loads of photos. The dress came up perfectly at the dry cleaners & the beading is all in immaculate condition. The hem line has one small hole in the top tulle layer - which I haven't fixed as I imagine most brides will need to alter the length & make it shorter anyway!

Alterations

This dress is sold strapless with a zip back. I purchased extra fabrics directly from Ian Stewart and had the dress altered to include two straps in the applique top fabric (these could easily be removed if you prefer strapless) as well as making the dress corset back. The zip was removed and a corset panel and lacing adding. All in the Ian Stuart fabric. I also had extra applique leaves added to the front hemline for extra weight/length as I'm so tall (6'1" in my low wedding heels) but the dress was sold with a plainer unfinished hem.
