The Dress
I bought this as a backup dress on a whim and fell in love with the drama and volume! Marchesa's Emily is a gorgeous ballgown from the Marchesa Notte Bridal FW21 collection, with a ruched modern strapless bodice and texture ruffle border. (The dress is currently sold out on their website)
The skirt is designed to echo that of a specific swan (I forget which!), and it literally feels like I'm walking in a cloud.
My wedding is on June 18, 2022 in Long Beach, after which I will have the gown cleaned and ready for its new owner.
Alterations
The innermost layer of this dress has been hemmed so I can walk, although the outermost layers (and there are twelve to achieve that volume!) are unchanged. I asked the seamstress (Annette's Alterations of Dublin) to adjust in such a way the innermost layer can be released if needed. Of all the dresses I brought for her to alter, this was her favorite and she is offering a credit on her services to its next owner
