The Dress

So I loved the top of one dress and the bottom of another. Please look at Stella York 6871 and 6718. I loved the lacey, scoop top of 6871 but hated the clingy flat skirt it came with.
I loved the overall shape of 6718, but wanted lace detail and was afraid of strapless.... so the wonderful bridal shop I used was able to order the lace appliqué and sheer fabric from Stella York to make the top EXACTLY and put it over the satin ball gown. She literally had the dresses side by side and used the same lace pattern so, it really is a perfect match.
The sweet heart neck of the original dress was deepened to further extenuate the lace detailing as well as champagne fabric put under the lace to make it pop a bit more. The champagne color can be removed to have the original ivory underneath if wanted.
Also has a two hook bustle so it lays flatter and the buttons can be seen all the way down.
The original dress, fabric and labor cost a total of $2400. The seamstress told me even with lace, the dress can still be altered from the back and straps taken up if needed and lace top is also tacked to prevent movement but can be retacked to fit a different shape or size.
The dress has been dry cleaned and is in perfect shape with no tears or stains. Comes with garnet bag and remnant satin fabric from hemming (about 6 inches wide from bottom hem line)

This dress really was wonderful and one of a kind!

Alterations

as above. The satin dress itself has been hemmed and the sweet heart neck deepened slightly.
